Happy Easter Sunday and Easter Season to Everyone !
Easter is the celebration of Christ resurrection. Christ resurrection is the best proof that we too may be resurrected for the next life. Easter is the best proof that we can have life in eternity. Easter is the greatest day of all. Let us thank The Lord for His supreme sacrifice. Let us celebrate. Let us share the good news!
The seed needs to be buried to the ground and die in order for a new tree to sprout up and live a new life. The mortal body of Christ needs to die and be resurrected to a new life that is never to die again, the immortal body. Therefore His death was not a defeat but a victory for all of us! Let us celebrate. Mabuhay! Let us thank The Lord for the gift of eternity, the greatest gift of all.
Here is a commentary from our Saint Joseph Sunday Missal:
“A person who is privileged to visit the tombs of the Pharaohs in Egypt or reads about them in pictorial books is struck by those people’s concern about a hereafter. The hieroglyphics for ‘life everlasting’ appear on the murals time and again. People want to live. Easter is the feast of life. ‘The Lord is truly risen, alleluia.’ It represents the joy of Christians.
“People want to know: What is the manner of my existence after death? ‘How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come back?’ (1Cor 15:35). Paul calls this a nonsensical question. And he adds: ‘What you sow is not brought to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be but a bare kernel of wheat, perhaps, or of some other kind; but God gives it a body as He chooses, and to each of the seeds it’s own body’ (1Cor. 15:36-38).
“This seems to indicate that our lives now are the kernels from which ‘earthly human beings’ must grow into the persons they will be for all eternity….‘The words found in 1 Corinthians 15:35-38 offer some insight to the inquisitive reader, but ultimately we have to leave the details up to God who promised that our reward will be a hundredfold.”

‘So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless.’
Wow! What great gifts awaits all of us who works for our Lord’s mission !
Because of this, ‘The Greatest Gift’, the Church celebrate Easter for 50 days, beginning from Easter Sunday (April 16,2017) to Pentecost—the coming down of The a Holy Spirit (June 4, 2017). The Church calls this the ‘Great Fifty Days.’ (Suggest Goggle search for history).
But unless we put a body to the Spirit of Easter, the period of Easter season from April 16 to June 4 will just pass with most people forgetting it after Easter Sunday’s event.
We thought that this should not be. People need to feel and be reminded of the significance of Easter. So in our company we decided to clothe Easter with a body of festive programs within the 50-day period. This is the second year we will be doing this.
Here are the programs for this second year of our Easter Season Festival:
1. Urge everyone to double their sacrifices and doing good for others (beginning with ourselves) during this period.
2. Festive décor on the factory premises and showrooms for the ‘Great Fifty Days’ period.
3. Eight Mondays of 1.5 hour general assembly program and reenactment of some significant events after The Lord’s resurrection, like what happen to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus , the Lord’s breakfast by the shore with his apostles, and the doubting Thomas incident.
4. Sports Fest.
5. Décor contest among departments.
6. Inter-departmental presentation contest.
